JMI Multi-use Telescope Carrying Case – 8 Inch SCT Telescopes

Safely transport your telescope with JMI Multi-use Telescope Carrying Case – 8 Inch SCT Telescopes.  Made with heavy-duty ABS plastic, this JMI Carrying Case includes crush-resistant die-cut foam contoured to safely hold telescopes during transport.   Protects expensive telescope equipment while making it easier to transport from one location to another.  Features handles on both ends and wheels for effortless maneuvering and ease of lifting.

Includes four latches (two lockable), three steel-reinforced handles, a 2″ by 26″ steel hinge and die-cut foam lining with compartments for telescope, eyepieces, finder scope and accessories.  The finder scope must be removed from the telescope and placed in a foam compartment.  A soft bag is included for hand unit protection.  The case can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels An optional Large-Wheel Upgrade is available.

Compatible with:

Celestron (Single Fork Arm) NexStar 8 / 8i / 8 SE / 8i SE (Special Edition) (may include optional GPS accessory)

Meade LX50 8″, LX90 8″, LX90-ACF 8″*, LX90GPS 8″, LX100 8″, LX200 8″ (non-GPS), LX200-ACF 8″, LX200GPS 8″, LX200R 8″

Note: When using this case for the Meade LX90, the LNT Module and SmartFinder must be removed and stored in the case.  A quick-release bracket is included for instant accurate re-positioning when attaching the LNT Module (this bracket can be used for other finders also).

* Beginning in 2013, Meade modified the LX90 ACF & SC Telescopes so that they could no longer be positioned with the optical tube pointing straight down between the forks.  The tube can only be stored in the nose-up position.  This makes it more difficult to transport and also makes it incompatible with any JMI Carrying Case.  The telescope was re-designed sometime in the fall of 2014.  At this time we have no plans to produce a case for the nose-up-storage design.
